I highly highly recommend this face wash!!! It is the holy grail of face wash for me right now! The perks of working for cosmetic and skincare lines is that you get a lot of sample sized items to be able to try product so that you can let the customer know how it worked for you. I am not going to be able to post everyday anymore. I will post throughout the week when I have a chance. I am currently working my full-time position at Shiseido Nordstrom, and my part-time at Pottery Barn. This week is a 60-hour workweek, so postings will be random. I gotta be honest, and let you know that I had never tried anything Shiseido before I started working for the brand. I let the interviewer know that, and she said it was refreshing to be so honest about it. Me, along with the rest of Americans only believed that Shiseido was a brand only for Asians. I am finding out that it is not at all! Asians love it because of the super skincare benefits, and Shiseido is a leader in skincare. Their makeup is AMAZING too!!! Anyways.... back to the face wash, and why it is so great! (I wouldn't say something is great just because it is the brand I work for, unless it is really great!). I took the fairly large sample size home to test it. The formula says it's a foam, probably because it works up quite the lather! It comes in a nice squeeze tube, and the formula is a thick cream with exfoliating/moisture beads in it. Shiseido has a perfume called Zen, and the face wash smells exactly like the perfume, but doesn't irritate my skin. I have really sensitive skin, and my skin reacts to a lot of things. It works great for my skin. A little tiny bit goes a long way, and when I spread it all over my face, the formula seems to get thicker and has a really rich lather to it. The beads in it are exfoliating at first, and then disintegrate into the formula. It takes the eye-makeup off really great too. It seems like it would take a lot to rinse off, since it is such a rich lather, but rinses off so easily! After it's rinsed off, your face literally is squeaky clean, because it squeaks after you wash it. It feels so clean!!! I took one of my Pond's face wipes and wiped my face after. Even with my previous face wash, I still had makeup residue on the wipe after I had washed my face, but with the Shiseido face wash, there was literally nothing on the wipe! It won the 2012 Nordstrom Beauty Award. The facewash, and other members of the Shiseido Benefiance line contains Mukurossi Extract, an ingredient that inhibits the wrinkle-triggering enzyme, and helps with your current wrinkles. It seems to work for my acne as well. I have battled with acne around my mouth and chin for a long time now. I always have a zit or two there, and it literally started healing the first time I washed my face with this face wash. My co-workers asked me why my face looked different, like brighter, the next day, and I am going to contribute that to washing my face with a really great face wash. I have used the face wash about 4 or 5 times now, and I don't have one zit on my chin (Just lots of acne scars). I am IN LOVE with this product, and I am going to buy it when my sample runs out. Eye makeup removers are an important part of makeup. We can put it on, but can you take it off? I know before I found my holy grail of makeup removers, I would wake up the next day looking like I had attempted to apply makeup in my sleep! I thought I had done a good job removing it the night before, but it appeared in the morning I hadn't. That is when I decided to get serious about finding a makeup remover that could remove even the most serious makeup (the waterproof and long-lasting stuff) I will review each product shown in the picture, and let you know which one turned out to be amazing at removal of EVERYTHING! Pond's Exfoliating Renewal Wet Cleansing TowlettesThese towelettes can be purchased at any grocery store for about $5 depending on where they are purchased. There are 30 towlettes per pack. The towelettes are the size of a washcloth, and have little nubbies on them (hence the exfoliating part.) They are wet when taken out (they tend to try out about halfway through a little bit, and you can just add a little water to moisten them before you remove your makeup) They are essentially odorless, and feel nice and cool on the skin. I use the non-nubby side to remove my eye makeup. I think it's too rough for the eyes with the nubs. No need to rinse your face after. The formula is supposed to help hydrate and rejuvenate the skin. No stinging to the eyes either. The formula in the cloth is incredibly gentle I use these on a nightly basis if I had worn light makeup, and it does the trick, but is not that great when long-lasting foundation, heavy makeup or a lot of mascara is worn. These are perfect for a refresher after working out though. Rating: B for makeup and face remover A for use after a workout Would I recommend this to a friend? Yes, for a casual face clean-up M.A.C. Gentle Off Eye and Lip Makeup RemoverThis remover is my HOLY GRAIL of eye makeup removers! It is a 3.4 fluid ounce bottle of goodness! The remover itself is clear. The bottle has a pink tone to it. It is half oil and half water formula. You can see that when the oil settles. All you do is shake it to mix it, and it creates a frothy bubbly liquid. This remover is gentle, and does not sting if it gets in your eye. The lid is a push and twist lid that can be difficult to get off sometimes. There is a small hole that allows liquid to come out in small amounts onto a cotton ball or swab. I usually use a cotton ball for the eyelid, and use a cotton swab to get the details (like the eyeliner). This product gets it all off your eye like a charm. I have never used it for lips, but I might just try it one day. This stuff lasts forever, and has virtually no scent. If you are deliberating on a good remover, this one is high recommended! Price: $20.00 You can purchase it here Rating: A Would I recommend this to a friend? Absolutely Almay Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover LiquidI was trying to find an oil-free remover when I had my eyelash extensions put on. Oil in cosmetics, your fingers, or in removers can break down the glue in extensions. This bottle is 4 fluid ounces. The product says it's fragrance free, but there is a hint of alcohol scent to this formula. The formula is pretty thick for being water-based. It does not burn if it gets in the eyes, just the same as the other formulas. It's easy to get too much, since the opening hole is pretty large. It definitely took a lot more scrubbing to get my eye makeup off. It's decent for the price. I didn't notice much more oil on my eyelids with the MAC formula, and oil-based rather than water-based seems to work a lot better! This product is good for removal for someone with eyelash extensions because it is water-based. It is also good if you aren't willing to spend $20.00 for an eye makeup remover Price: $5.99 You can purchase it here Would I recommend this product to a friend? Probably Rating: B *** I am not affiliated in any way with other people mentioned or products mentioned. This is my own personal review on this purchased item***
