I have heard great things about this eyelash primer. I have purchased several primers, and quit using them for some unknown reason. Since letting all of my eyelash extensions fall out, or me accidentally tearing them out, my eyelashes have been very sad looking lately. They have all literally grown back in from the follicle up. My husband noticed after I tore out the last few extensions a couple of weeks ago, that my eyelashes are tiny little nubs. I was pretty self-conscious about it, so I stuck some falsies on for a few days, but since I am also allergic to that glue as well, I decided to give my eyes a rest, and try my luck on a primer to help with the volume and a tiny bit with the length. Since I am at a counter that shares space with Dior, I decided to purchase the Diorshow Maximizer Primer. I was really excited to find out that this primer also has a lash plumping (growing) serum in it. I like that it is a 2-in-1 formula. The brush is the synthetic rubbery lash-separating brush that is also in the Diorshow Iconic mascara. The brush is great for separating the lashes while priming them, so when you put your mascara on, they are already separated, and not clumped. The formula goes on the lashes very smooth and even. I could probably apply it to my bottom lashes, but I usually only put it on the top, since that is where I need more length and volume. I don't apply a very heavy coat, or your lashes will look clumped when you apply mascara, as with any primer. The formula is a gel-like consistency. Not too wet either. I like to wait a minute or two before putting on my mascara so I can let it dry a little bit. The formula seems to add a little bit of length and volume. I can't expect a primer to do miracles, but I am happy with the definitely noticeable difference it makes. I have been using the primer for about a week, and have noticed a slight growth in the length of my lashes. It's hard to tell at this point, but eyelash growth serum takes a month or two to notice a difference. The formula also contains a lash conditioner to keep lashes soft and supple. I used to use the MAC Prep+Prime, but the formula was like glue, and the brush bristles went flat quickly because the glue formula weighed it down. The formula also clumped when I applied it. I love love love that the Diorshow has a great brush that won't smash down from formula, has a really smooth and even application, contains lash conditioner, and best of all; it has the benefit of eyelash plumping serum in it! The reviews are really great on it as well.
